I don't always use my Cry Baby wah-wah, but when I do, I power it with one of the DC splitter cable lines. So whether or not you need a single big PS might depend on the number of pedals on your board and how much juice they each draw. (I affixed an AC power strip to the back of my pedal board, for the PS's and AC-powered effects.)

Of the other two pedals, one is battery powered (custom termolo, a 3V coin battery lasts years but tradeoff is no on/off indicator LED) the other is AC plug-in (1970s EH PolyPhase). To use a bigger 'brick' type multi-pedal supply, I'd have to make room on the board and it's seems like too much for just three pedals, and it would at this point only be replacing two wall warts. I was using a single beefy wall wart for all three, but the digital reverb was a little noisy so I put it on its own wall wart and no problem.

I only have five pedals on my board (plus my separate spring reverb which sits next to the board), and only three are powered by DC wires.
